58 people attended ‘The Vanishing Bees’ film at Henllan school on Sat the 16th of January 2010

Henllan Conservation Group and Cadwyn Clwyd have awarded the contract to execute the project to the North Wales Wildlife Trust. Simon Farr from NWWT came to watch the film and say a few words. NWWT will be running a further launch in the very near future.

The 2 adult tickets to Chester Zoo were won by Dave Sherman. Dave and his wife enjoy visiting Zoos and Wildlife Reserves.  One of Dave’s Christmas presents was the adoption of a penguin at Chester Zoo, so he is looking forward to visiting the Zoo very much. Perhaps his penguin will wave at him!

Dave also won a conservation themed hamper in the raffle.

Gaynor Kumria & Bronwen Woodcock were very busy selling cakes on behalf of the WI. The profits will be put aside by the WI to be spent on items relating to the Henllan Bee Project at a later date (maybe seeds after inspiration from the ‘Gardening to support the bees & pollinating insects’ workshop.) The photo shows Gaynor Kumria manning the WI cake stall.

A wide range of refreshments were available at cost price, including ice creams at the interval. The photo shows happy customers enjoying the home made cake with a cup of tea!
