MINUTES OF THE HENLLAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 2ND JUNE 2020 VIA ZOOM CONFERENCE ON 7.30 P.M.
1: PRESENT: Councillors Nicky Bassett-Powell (Chairman), Amanda Lawson, John Bellis, Geraint Williams, Gwyn Roberts, Merfyn Roberts, Jean McGibbon, Dewi Jones, Clwyd Spencer and the Clerk.
2. APOLOGIES: Denbighshire County Councillor Geraint Lloyd-Williams.
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Councillor Clwyd Spencer on agenda item 12D below.
4. CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS COUNCIL MEETING.
Members confirmed 5th May 2020 minutes as a true record and signed by the Chairman.
5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES.
A. Councillors Clwyd Spencer and Gwyn Roberts agreed to assist Julie and Alan Roberts in replacing the Council’s Notice Board in Denbigh Street if required.
B. Mrs Julie Roberts has agreed to maintain the Council’s Flower Beds during the summer and autumn 2020.
C. BHIB Limited confirmed that the “Sports Equipment” insurance cover is a standard insurance cover within the Council’s insurance policy and has no effect to the premium value.
6. COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE.
The Covid-19 restrictions remain the same as discussed in the previous Council meeting.
7. VACANT SEAT UPDATE.
No applications were received since the previous Council meeting to the Council’s vacant seat.
8. FINANCE.
A. HSBC bank balances £17,525.27.
B. the Clerk circulated Members with the Council’s bank transactions for the year ended 31st March 2020 prior to the meeting.
C. Authorised bill payments:-
1. Information Commissioner’s Office for the annual Data Protection Fee renewal £40.00.
2. Scottish Power for the Public Conveniences electricity supply for the quarter ended 28th May 2020 £34.48.
D. Grant aid application (via email circulated to Members prior to the meeting) from Julie Starling on behalf of “Awyr Las keep the Beats” towards the Covid19 Cardiology Clinics.
After discussion on the application the Members resolved to the grant aid of £250.00.
