- Henllan Nature Reserve and Church Institute Bee Garden
Ian Carrie will put an appeal out on Henllan’s Facebook pages for gardening tools to help the Church Institute Bee Garden. The e-mail from PC Craig Williams regarding grant payment into HCC bank account Ian will contact asking if can be paid into Church Institute bank account instead.
- Report on Top Park
A request has been e-mailed regarding the Recreation Ground Portacabins on Top Park.
DCC will allow the portacabins Potable Water Supply and small waste water pipe to be connected to the Henllan public toilet block if HCC grant permission.
The Councillors present voted in favour of the connection on the understanding that for example if the Guides were camping on the field the facilities would be available for their use.
Awaiting an estimate from Chris Brown from a firm in Corwen for new fence and netting
- Top Park Mower Acquisition
. The Football club new mower has now been received and stored at Top Park. Clwyd has agreed to store HCC mower until it is sold.

- Correspondence and Grant Applications
Grant application received from Angeline Lawson for St Sadwrn Church for the upkeep of the Churchyard – Vote has gone through to pay £1,000 towards the upkeep this is delayed until the 1st April because payment was paid April 2025 and April 2024.
Grant application received from Alice Lovegrove -Jones for Henllan Brownies and Guides. Vote has gone through to pay £500.
Grant application received from Dewi Jones for Club Peldroed under 11’s Girls Football Team. Vote has gone through to pay £500.
Denbigh Aged and Disabled have requested a donation for the 2026 trip for Henllan Residents. Vote has gone through to pay £200.
DPJ Foundation which supports Farmers with Mental health has requested a donation. Vote has gone through to pay £250.
- Street Scene Matters (Highway)
Delyth Jones confirmed to the meeting that DCC were reluctant to replace Stop line or sign on.
It was also confirmed that the grit boxes have been filled but not repaired, these are to be checked by HCC.
Dog fouling in Goder Garn, this has been reported to DCC environmental health and signs are to be erected in the area.
Confirmation has been received regarding resurfacing of Meifod Road this coming financial year, Cllr Delyth Jones is checking the extent of the works.
DCC have carried out temporary repairs to the Old Bus Stop on Denbigh Street Henllan, Ian Carrie will be checking about further repairs.
Site meeting carried out at new development Cil Y Coed on Thursday 19th February with Cllr Jackie Jones Chair, Ian Carrie Vice Chair, Cllr Tom Marshall, Cllr Clwyd Spencer, Cllr Gwyn Roberts in attendance plus concerned residents Peter (Glyn) Jones and Jonathan Parry Jones.
We met with the developer Lee Webster the meeting agreed that now the boundry had been marked out and identified off the Land Registry Plans, we understood why the exising hedge and trees were removed to establish the correctly border between the rear of Glasfryn and the new Cil Y Coed development.
All agreed on site to small amount of retention work to the border at the rear of 11 Glasfryn, a fence to be errected as soon as possible on the border of Glasfryn / Cil Y Coed and a replacement Laurel hedge to be planted as soon as possible on the new estates side of the new fence.
This has since been agreed in writing with the contractor.
- Update on Litter Bins
Nia has spoken to someone about possibly getting signs to fit to the bins that No Household rubbish is to be put in, Delyth confirmed that Denbighshire County Council are looking into Enforcement for this. HCC emphasises the bins are for litter and dog waste only.
- Denbighshire County Council Affairs
The Council Tax has now been set by DCC and this is one of lowest in Wales.
DCC have invited Councillors to visit the site on Henllan Street site on 23rd March, it has been confirmed that there will be 1 bedroomed apartments.
There has been extra money given from the Government for Enforcement and also for Investments into supporting young people in care, to house a young person can be very expensive and also out of the county, so Denbighshire is looking to do this within the Authority which will bring the costs down.
Denbighshire are developing a package for Foster Carer Support in house and will be offering exemption of Council Tax and other initiatives.
There has been progress with Pendref and High School Projects, they have gone out for tender, Pendref is due for determination at the end of this month.
Denbighshire have confirmed that they are going to name the Conference/Music Hall/Venue room in Queens Market the Mike Peters Arena
Lenten Pool is ready to go to the final design and aiming for Autumn 26/Spring27, this will cause some disruption but will be an improvement.
