Stephen Newton and Leon Gierke attended to inform the Council of a proposal from an Italian Investment Group for Mynydd Tryfan Wind Farm, there are 3 dwellings in close proximity to where the Turbines will be sited, they will be 180 meters high and as this area is a Special Landscape Area, it is a defined area of interest, if this goes ahead, roads and bridges will have to be changed and hedge rows will be ripped out, Community Councils within the area are being asked to object against the application as it will effect a number of villages, CPRW have confirmed that the turbines are not required.

  1. Confirm the minutes of the previous Council meeting held on 3rd March to be signed off by the Chairperson

Members confirmed 3rd March 2026 minutes as a true record, these were signed off by the Chairperson.

  1. Traffic Calming Measures in Henllan updated report

Groes Road Signs had been turned around showing National Speed limit through the Village but Ian Carrie has asked DCC to turn these back the correct way.

 

  1. Henllan Nature Reserve and Church Institute Bee Garden

Ian Carrie put an appeal out on Henllan’s Facebook pages for gardening tools to help the Church Institute Bee Garden, there has been a good response on the tools and we are now looking for a shed to store the tools.

  1. Report on Top Park

Still awaiting an estimate from Chris Brown from a firm in Corwen for new fence and netting.

  1. Top Park Mower Acquisition

Clwyd still has the HCC mower. Which currently has a flat tyre.

  1. One Voice Wales Training Courses

Details of courses has been sent to Councillors.

  1. Street Scene Matters (Highway)

The footpath on Meifod Road adjacent to Maes Sadwrn park has a lot of nettles, Ian has asked someone at DCC to strim these back.

Grit boxes are full, Nathan is going to check the one by him has been filled.

DCC has provided us with Dog Fouling Signs to put up at Godre’r Garn

Ian will contact DCC about having the roof repaired on the bus stop.

  1. Update on Litter Bins

DCC are monitoring the bins and will have Enforcement Officers available to patrol.

  1. Matters arising from the entries which do not appear on the agenda

Cil y Coed Estate Scrap has now removed.

Scottish Power have been digging ready for cables to be fitted.

Would there be a chance of having tarmac by the Basket Ball Area so Disabled people can play in wheelchairs, this may be DCC Housing.
